BRAC, an NGO based in Bangladesh, has helped create the world's first microcredit securitisation program. RSA Capital, Citigroup, the Netherlands Development Finance Company (FMO) and KfW of Germany will provide BRAC with US$180 million of financing over six years to help them make microloans to some of the poorest people in the world.
